Instructional Design

Our team of Instructional Designers has created a diverse range of interactive course content including aircraft training, pipeline assembly, health-care instruction, fast food services, financial training, health & safety, military training and pulp & paper processing. VTN employs the Systematic Design of Instruction Methodology and as a result, views the designing of optimal instructional material as a systematic process in which every component (i.e. teacher/instructor, student, materials and learning environment) is crucial to successful learning.

Integration

VTN has integrated Olé™ with many common business systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Lawson, SAP, and others) allowing data to flow from one application to another. Olé™ is a powerful learning system, affording organizations concerned with cost-effective online and offline training, the ability to centrally manage learning content and learner performance data over the web. This readily integrated application creates an environment which manages the whole process of creating, capturing, assembling, publishing, delivering, storing content and re-usable learning objects, and managing learner performance data.

With Olé, users also save time and money by reutilizing and repurposing valuable content and then quickly distributing personalized learning experiences to users across the extended enterprise. VTN also provides an Import Utility program allowing non-technical users to upload flat files containing learner information into the Olé™ LMS. The program provides the ability to create import map configuration files, so that the data fields are mapped once and can then be re-used to automate subsequent imports.

Content Migration

VTN has migrated proprietary, AICC and SCORM compliant courseware for a number of organizations. A robust library of bridging technologies have been created to turn non-SCORM / AICC compliant content into SCORM or AICC compliant courseware, eliminating the need to re-develop existing courseware.
