QA Analyst

Database Administrator

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Primary Function

As part of the Production team this position is accountable to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Required Skills

• College or University education
• An expert understanding of database design and data modeling principals, both theoretical and practical
• Strong RDBMS knowledge and experience, especially MS SQL Server
• Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers
• Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented, fast learner, and a strong team player
